A Portuguese company from €1 in capital
The Portuguese LDA is one of the lightest company forms in Europe to get off the ground. Minimum share capital is €1 per share — two partners can incorporate with two euros between them. No frozen deposits, no thousands tied up before you’ve made your first sale.
The tax side is friendlier than people expect. The standard corporate rate is 20%, and small and medium businesses pay just 16% on their first €50,000 of taxable income. Standard VAT is 23%.
Speed is the other pleasant surprise. Portugal’s Empresa na Hora procedure can create a company in a day or two. Our full cycle — documents, tax number, registrations — takes 14–21 days, and you don’t have to set foot in Portugal for any of it.
Our LDA registration service costs €3,500. Bank account opening is €500, and the VAT number is free. Once you’re live, we keep the company healthy: bookkeeping at €500 per month and a legal address at €150 per month. Filings, taxes, official correspondence — that’s our side of the desk.
One more thing worth knowing: a Portuguese company pairs well with immigration routes, from the D2 entrepreneur visa to the Startup Visa. If you’re thinking about relocation as well as business, one structure can serve both goals.
